Grilled Scallops With Lemon And Herbs Recipe

Marinated in olive oil, lemon, garlic, and herbs, these scallops are grilled to golden brown perfection. Quick and easy but delicious supper!  

– 1 1/4 pounds large sea scallop – 1/4 cup olive oil – 2 tablespoons lemon juice – 1 teaspoon kosher salt – 1/4 teaspoon black pepper – 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning – 2 teaspoons minced garlic – 1 tablespoon chopped parsley – lemon wedges for serving


Put the olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic in a big bowl or bag. Mix ingredients.  


Step 1

Put scallops in the bag or bowl. Toss marinade in evenly. Keep the bowl or bag closed.  

Step 2

Marinate for 15–2 hours in the fridge. Marinade the scallops for no longer than that because the lemon juice acid will cook them.  

Step 3

Thread scallops on skewers. You can skip the skewers and grill huge scallops directly. Heat an outdoor grill or indoor grill pan on medium-high.  

Step 4

Grill skewers or loose scallops. Scallops should be hard and opaque after 1-2 minutes per side. Sprinkle parsley and add lemon wedges.
