Mets' Brandon Nimmo misses game after fainting, hitting head inside hotel bathroom

After waking up disoriented in a hotel toilet early Monday morning, outfielder Brandon Nimmo missed the Mets' game at Nationals Park.

After fainting, Nimmo hit his head on the floor. Nimmo cut his forehead but avoided a concussion, said first-year Mets manager Carlos Mendoza.

"He went through all the tests this morning" said Mendoza. We wanted nothing missed. Luckily, everything was bad. I believe we were lucky."

Nimmo felt nauseous around 5 a.m. He strained and fainted after using the loo. While standing up, he was bleeding from the head and confused. Mets trainers came to his room when he called.

Nimmo was tested in hospital. He arrived at the ballpark Monday afternoon with a bandaged forehead. He told reporters the bandage was preventive.

Jeff McNeil replaced Nimmo in left field Monday. Nimmo returned to the Mets' lineup Tuesday and hit two singles.

This is Nimmo's sixth Mets season. The 31-year-old hits.247 with 13 homers, 52 RBIs, and.824 OPS in 78 games.

Fearing retribution, Bebe Rexha threatens to 'bring down' the music industry.
