WH reporters admit being 'turned off' from exposing Biden's mental decline because of 'right-wing media' hype

Some White House press members who regularly cover President Biden said they were "turned off" from exposing his mental impairment before last week's debate due to "right-wing media."

After Biden's startling debate performance, some have accused the legacy media of covering up for the president.

CNN said Tuesday that 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. reporters regret not covering the political bombshell more. Some said they didn't want to feed the "right-wing talking point" about 81-year-old Biden.

"Biden’s age was also a right-wing talking point for years, something the White House was quick to point out to reporters, which may have inadvertently turned off any serious investigation," CNN said.

The report accused "right-wing media figures" of sharing "deceptively edited clips" of Biden, including one from the G7 Summit where he waved to parachutists off-camera, prompting Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to pull him back for a photo-op, denying he was "wandering off."

One CNN reporter said, "The right-wing media was calling him senile from day one, and that wasn’t true." "Then whenever you report on the age you were in some ways solidifying, giving credence to some people that were actually of bad faith."

Conservative media ‘turned off’ legacy reporters from truly researching Biden's mental acuity by merely existing and calling a spade a spade," Andrew Kerr of the Washington Free Beacon said.

Such sad lameness. I thought journalism was about ‘following the facts,’" Fox News' Katie Pavlich criticized White House reporters.
